INT. CLUB - NIGHT

Blue Monday by New Order plays. A black screen opens to a neon-lighted party. Each beat of the intro establishes the party, a stereotypical 80s craze party. It focuses on a woman walking through the crowd in slow motion.

ANNA, 25-30 years old, and the confidence and poise that could murder with a look, walks like Moses, parting the Red Seas of the club.

ANNA (V.O.)

It’s 1986. The parties are loud, the drugs are high, and the sex is top shelf.

Anna is focused on as she stops. In the neon lights, she notices another man. DEREK, a young and horny male, stares at her while a girl attempts to hang on his arm. He’s standing at the bar, drink in hand.

Anna nods her head in the direction of the bathrooms and Derek quirks his brow in intrigue.

INT. CLUB BATHROOM - NIGHT

Anna and Derek are madly making out against the men’s stalls. Derek takes control at first, but Anna quickly takes over. Derek is intrigued by this and is enthralled.

ANNA

Tell me you don’t live with your parents.

DEREK

Thank god I don’t.

Anna yanks Derek by the edge of his jacket, leading him to the exit through the crowd. Derek is happy to get laid. Anna has an almost evil grin on her.

INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT

Anna and Derek tumble into Derek’s apartment. Anna begins to tear at Derek’s jeans and he does the same for her skirt. They walk into Derek’s room, attached at the mouth, fumbling with each other’s outfits. Anna throws Derek onto the bed and climbs on top of him to straddle him.

ANNA

Close your eyes. I have an idea for something really sexy.

DEREK

Full of surprises aren’t you?

Anna tries to smile bashfully, but it is slightly unnerving. Derek is too horny to notice. He closes his eyes and Anna takes gloves out of her purse, which was strewn on the floor, and puts them on before pulling out a sash. She ties the sash around Derek’s eyes and he gives out a gasp of excitement and surprise. She shushes him. She has her purse with her as she straddles him again.

ANNA

How do you feel?

DEREK

(choked from delirium)

Um, fantastic, honestly.

ANNA

Good.

(beat.)

Now, I’m going to ask you some questions, and you’re going to answer them. Understand?

DEREK

(very allured)

Yes Ma’am.

ANNA

Good boy.

(Beat.)

First question: Do you like this?

DEREK

Yes Ma’am.

ANNA

Good. Second question: do you like pain?

Anna is feeling up Derek’s torso. Derek pauses for a brief second before replying.

DEREK

Yes. I believe so.

Anna smiles. She leans back a bit and grabs her purse, fishing through it.

ANNA

Third question: does the name Marie Johnson ring a bell to you?

Derek stills. Anna smirks.

DEREK

(stutters and talks too fast)

Um, she was a girl...in my grade, I believe. In college. Barely knew her. Probably had a class with her? Yeah. That rings a bell now.

Anna leans close to his face, her breath and perfume in his face.

ANNA

Mmm, is that so, Derek?

DEREK

Yes, Ma’am.

ANNA

Is that all you remember about her, Derek?

DEREK

(nervous)

Yes, Ma’am.

Anna sits back, scowling. She looks sad and almost conflicted.

ANNA

Tsk tsk. A shame. You really had a nice smile.

Derek’s face contorts into confusion, even under the blindfold. Anna pulls a knife from her purse and plunges it into his chest. Derek screams out, his scream ending in a bubbling gurgle.

Anna twists the knife into his chest. Derek’s body twitches in pain. Aborted screams and moans of agony come from his throat. Anna pulls the blindfold off his eyes so he can look at her for a last moment.

ANNA

You touch a girl like that, you kill her. I’m simply returning the favor. I’m pretty sure your son will be happy to learn he doesn’t have an abomination as a father anymore.

DEREK

(chokes out)

Son?

ANNA

Rape is rape, hunnie. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life-

She nods at his chest.

For a life.

Derek in a panic, spits up the last bits of oxygen and blood in his lungs. His eyes roll back and he dies. Anna gives a satisfied hum and gets off of him, walking over to her clothing and putting it back on. She takes his clothing and anything else that would have her prints on it with her. She takes off her gloves and puts them and the sash back in her purse.

She walks out of the apartment. Left at the feet of Derek’s cooling body is a note that says “You’re welcome, Marie Johnson”.
