INTERNATIONAL SERVICE OF RETIRED PERSONS (ISRP)
Writing Practice and Musings.
The International Service of Retired Persons was created amidst crisis and chaos. With overpopulation and low resources plaguing our Earth, the continents assembled to create a simple solution. With the advancement of technologies, especially now with the colonization and growth in Antarctica, lead scientist, Asrar 'Ula Mifsud, completed a successful formula that allowed the slowing down and eventual halt of aging. Until reversed, those who take the drug cannot and will not age.
With this newfound technology, the continents decided that it would be the perfect solution to their problems. Every single person is allowed to age until twenty-five. Upon this age, a secured device, implanted at birth, will deploy the medication that freezes their age. The continents are allowed jurisdiction over the people who reside within their domain. When they think it is necessary, certain people will receive a notification of their aging and they will start to expire. They have that time to do what they want. Each person will age until seventy-five to achieve the old, antiquated feel of “aging”, but they will decline at five times the rate. This freedom and time is the ISRP’s way of giving back to the resources, knowledge, and experience that each person has given to their continent.
Disclaimer: There is no bias for the ISRP. We do not discriminate and retire based on race, gender, appearance, age, wealth, skill, status, etc. We allow a fair chance at a good life. ISRP also cannot prevent any injury or illness that may lead to premature death. The ISRP will help to prevent the previously stated instances but is not responsible for the repercussions of such incidents.
“I met a guy who was almost 500 today. Can you fuckin’ believe that, the poor bastard? He didn’t say it, but I could see in his eyes that all he wanted was death and not a blowjob.”
Wayne didn’t respond but silently moved his feet from his lounging position to make room for his flat-mate, Erin.
